Hee! Oh, updo’s. My own wedding hair, which was supposed to be a “soft, earth-mama crown of french braiding with flowers” turned into an indestructible shallaced helmet of… indestructibility.

That was an awesomely cute bob on you too. How long is your hair now? Is Adorn still around? They took good care of The Mister and me, but I’m not sure if they do “formal” hair.

OMYGOD…those photos remind me of the Jill Ireland swimsuit calendar I gave Lee Isaacs for Christmas one year. It had my face glued over Jill’s on every page. I definitely think you should look like you at the wedding…your adorableness CAN NOT be improved on…even with an updo.

Yes, all those bobby pins will make your head hurt. I didn’t even use a stylist for my wedding hair, just did it myself because I wanted my basic hairstyle with a little more wave and body (used a curling iron and a teeny bit of hairspray). Hair looked great all day. You definitely want to be comfortable and you definitely want to look like you!

It’s weird, isn’t it? Going from single and doing your own thing and owning the world to suddenly becoming domestic and *liking* it. But it really does sound like you’re happy and that’s what really matters! Yay for you!

This is such a great post - you sound so happy! I can’t believe you caved to the kittehs though, my cat was fighting me for the milk in my cereal bowl this morning and I finally gave in. Wracked with regret, I am!

OOh, have you tried the slow cooker liners? My latest prize is an oval SmartPot, which switches to warm at the end of a set cooking time. Turkey breast! Of course the crock is removable. I have thought of you when rooting through sock yarn and wanting to do something with my TomatO(no e) Garden. I have at least four Crockpots of varying sizes.

I love your blog. I bought some of your yarn last spring in Asheville and have been a silent reader of your blog since then. I’m moving to Clemson, SC soon (2 hrs from Asheville) and was curious if you could recommend any fiberart/spinning classes or anywhere that I could take art classes near Asheville or Clemson. Can you recommend a beginners wheel?
